Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon starts when Putt-Putt and Pep are invited to a fireworks factory by Mr. Firebird.
Pep then jumps onto the 'Do not pull' lever. Putt and Pep are both blasted into space. Putt-Putt eventually lands on the Moon and meets many characters like Aliens, the Man in the Moon, some mice on vacation from Kansas and Rover, a lonely Lunar rover who was left behind during the Apollo 15 mission by astronauts David Scott and James Irwin. Together, Putt-Putt and Rover find pieces to make a Rocket Ship and blast their way back to Cartown.
